COMPUER AIDED TEXTILE DESIGNING (C.A.T.D.)
For Carpet, Printed, Dobby, Jacquard, Embroidery, Knitting.

Eligibility :

Bachelor of Home Science ( Textile & Clothing ) / (Students of S.Y./ T.Y.B.H.Sc can also apply for special vacation batches) / Foundation Course / Textile Diploma / Shop floor textile designers with similar background

Duration of course : 40 working days
Fees : Rs 10, 500 /- only
Schedule : Monday to Thursday ( 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. )

Individual software based courses are also available in separate streams.( Fees : Rs. 3,500 /- for each )

All theories and practicals will be conducted at WRA only. Visits of different organizations may be organised by WRA for the benefit of the students. The certificate will be awarded to the candidate who successfully passes the examination conducted by Wool Research Association, Thane

Curriculum Encompasses:

1. Fibre Science & Processing

2. Fabric manufacturing

3. Fundamentals of Designing

4. Fundamentals of Computer

5. Computer aided Textile Designing ( Theory & practical ) Dobby, Jacquard, Carpet, Printing, Knitting, Embroidery.

6. CAM for Dobby, Knitting & Embroidery.

7. Demonstration of carpet weaving on handloom.

8. Fabric Analysis importance & method.

9. Project work : making of designs portfolio.

Condition for Admission:

1. Application for Admission in the prescribed form enclosed herewith should be duly filled & sent along with the necessary documents to the office of WOOL RESEARCH Association, Thane.

2. Fees : The candidate intending to join the course shall have to pay fees in full either by cash handed over personally to the admission cell of the institute or by Demand Draft drawn in favour of Wool Research Association to be sent to the Director Wool Research Association.

3. The examination will be held at the end of the course. The details of the subjects, syllabus, marks distribution, exam. Scheme etc.will be provided to the students during the first week of the course.

4. Award : After successful completion of the course, certificate will be awarded by Wool Research Associaton, Thane.

5. Security Deposits: Deposits (Rs. 500/-) is refundable only when the student leaves teh institute on completion of the cource.

6. Hostel accommodation is not available.
